Working principle of our high pressure mixing heads.
The main feature of our FPL mixing head is the "L-shaped" mixing chamber, which is created by the right-angle arrangement of two cylindrical piston chambers.
Each cylinder contains a hydraulically operated and individually controlled piston with associated proximity switch.
Adjustable mixing jets within the mixing head provide a way to fine-tune the pressure that the components are mixed.
Optimum mixing is achieved by the turbulence created by the high velocity impingement of the two components as they collide and enter the mixing chamber. |

Main advantages of our high pressure mixing heads
The relatively small dimensions of the mixing chamber enable a fast change from high pressure recycle to pouring thus avoiding any pressure peaks and pre-flow of one component with respect to the other.
High pressure recycling and pouring is through the same jets which ensure simple pressure regulation.
