Cannon's new AP metering machines bring the cost savings of high-pressure technology to an industry segment that has relied on low-pressure machines.Designed specifically for manufacturers of small products made from rigid, low-density polyurethane, the AP machines are based on a solvent-free design that eliminates production costs associated with management and disposal of flushing agents and urethane waste.The AP is available in two model sizes to satisfy low to medium throughput applications:
- The AP-10 is capable of 180 to 300 shots per hour with outputs ranging from 2.5 to 12 kg/minute.
- The AP-30 is capable of 60 to 150 shots per hour with outputs ranging from 4.5 to 23 kg/minute.

Both model sizes feature fixed output pumps connected to a single-shaft AC electric motor, which is equipped with a mechanical variator for manual adjustment of the motor speed.Main Advantages
- Easy installation, operation. Go from delivery crate to production in less than a day. The automatic refilling system keeps buffer tanks charged from chemical drums. Start and stop pouring at the mixhead. Limited maintenance. High pressure LN mixheads are self-cleaning. The straight mixing chambers require no flushing. Full temperature conditioning. Separate temperature controllers and two heat exchangers, equipped with thermostatic valves and resistance heating elements, maintain chemical temperatures. Output range of 2.5 to 23 kg/min. - Compact size; needs only 1.4 sq m. The AP's single frame holds two 24 litre, carbon-steel buffer tanks; two high-pressure metering pumps; heat exchangers; PLC controls; and the mixhead hydraulic unit.
