The new Cannon A-Compact high-pressure metering machine provides a compact, economical solution for the production of quality polyurethane products. This competitively-priced model is designed for polyurethane manufacturers whose simple, two-component process, or lower production rate, does not require the complexity and additional cost associated with a more advanced metering machine system. The A-Compact is capable of total outputs ranging from 2.1 to 180 kg/minute and production rates of 30 to 60 parts per hour.Chemicals are stored in two jacketed and heated, 70 or 250 litre, day tanks. Two Cannon high-pressure axial piston pumps, driven by variable speed AC electric motors, guarantee precise metering. |

Inlet-circuit pump filters, pressure gauges and by-pass stream distributors for low-pressure recirculation are standard. The operator console has a user-friendly display of process parameters. The machine-mounted PLC provides control for one mixing head, two temperature indicators with digital display, inverters for motor speed adjustment, and an emergency push button connected to a safety relay.Main Advantages:
- Compact size. The A-Compact requires only 5 square metres of floor space. Fast installation, start-up. The A-Compact goes from delivery crate to production in less than a day thanks to the "plug & play" design. Easy operation. Adjust motor speed and pump output on a user-friendly touchscreen interface. The remote pendant provides shot control and shot time selection. Limited maintenance. Self-cleaning mixheads eliminate the need for flushing. On-board lubrication systems promote longer pump seal life.
- Full temperature conditioning. The standard chemical conditioning package includes two 250 litre jacketed, heated day tanks, heat exchangers, low and high pressure recirculation, and a polyol agitator. Weekend Cycle mode keeps chemicals ready for production.
Options include mechanical agitators for the tanks, pneumatic fill pumps, a set of on/off valves for automatic tank refilling, component flow and ratio monitoring, magnetic couplings for the pumps and a rotating boom for mounting the mixhead.
